Well, I had another meeting with the RE this morning. I went in thinking it was going to be a sit and chat meeting....to figure out what he wants to do going forward.
It was that...and more! He decided he wants to try Femara (with monitoring, since last time around with ob/gyn I wasn't monitored much) again on me...now that I've lost a bit of weight and am doing well on the Fortamet.
I was sent back for bloodwork, pregnancy test (just in case...it came back negative as expected), and ultrasound. Wasn't expecting all of this today!
The doc decided he wants to start me on Provera tonight to bring on a period. On CD3 I will start the Femara, will be monitored like every other day I think, and will do an Ovidrel trigger if we can get something to that point...and TI.
I'm a little disappointed that I am going back to Femara again...it feels like I'm taking a step backward! But...I do trust this RE, so I am willing to do what he wants me to do with the hopes that it works.
I'm very excited to be back cycling again! I now know how sucky breaks can be!
And....DH scheduled his SA for the 19th. Yay! I'm so proud of him for finally doing that. I can't wait to hear the results. I'm hoping it comes back that he has super sperm, so we don't have more to worry about! Considering his ex-wife had been pregnant 3 times (2 mc's, 1 live birth) by him, he is pretty sure that things will be good on his side. Here's hoping!
Re: Update from RE appt. today
Sounds great! You have a good plan! Not to be a devils advocate...but my DH got someone pregnant before...imagine my shock to find out our MFI!
Clearly I was expecting a good SA, and i took the results call while i was in line at Banana Republic. I was very shocked, to say the least.
i love a plan cutie!!

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

This is EXACTLY why I was pushing DH to have an SA done. As my RE says, "fertility is dynamic, and changes over time". I told DH, he is older and heavier now than 6+ years ago when his daughter was conceived. Things change. I just want to rule out MFI if we can before we go too much further.
Thanks for sharing your story too!

Sounds like your RE is really good! Good luck! I hope he can get you pregnant real quick!
You're welcome. DH's uro thinks that he developed his blockage from an infection. Possibly like an adult chicken pox...after the 1st pregnancy but before we TTC. Bc of his history, I thought my age was the factor in our IF. I was SHOCKED when DH's first SA showed one sperm!
The plus side, they think his sperm are pretty healthy..they just can't get out. So, i def think u are correct to have him do the SA.
