Ava and Emma... I have LOVED these names for sooooo long... but as a Kindergarten teacher with 2 Ava's and an Emma (who's sister is Ava) in my class... I just can't do it!
Olivia and Sophia. I've loved Olivia since I was a child and had THREE dolls all named Olivia. Sophia is beautiful but not only is it popular, our last name begins with an S Elisabeth is still on our list despite popularity, we love the name too much to let go and I have yet to meet a little Elisabeth. Everyone I know is in their 20s+
I used to love the name Micaela (pronounced Mee-kah-eh-la), but the rise of McKayla, McKenzie, McKenna and the like have all ruined the name for me. I have a really hard time finding anything pretty at all about it anymore.
I also really like Olivia. It still sounds nice to me, but I have a few friends with daughters named Olivia and it would feel weird to use a name people in my close social circle have already used. If it were just generally popular, but I didn't know anyone IRL with the name, it might be different.
I go back and forth about Elizabeth. It will be a middle name at the very least, but I'd love to use it as a first name--if not for the popularity.
Jacob and William.
Elizabeth and William have always been popular and probably always will be. They are classic names, not trendy names. I think there is a difference.
I love William and don't think using it is the same as Jacob or Aiden. I think in 20 years if you hear the name Aiden you'll be able to tell about how old that person is. But with William, you'd have no idea because William has always been popular.
Re: What popular name won't you use because its popular?
Olivia and Ella
Jackson
Olivia, Sophia, Ethan, and Jackson
but we LOVE Olivia, and may still use it.

I don't care about anything else. We love Jacob and we're using it.
There isn't one.
We love Sophia and Emma, and we don't mind using them despite their popularity.
There are a lot of names that I think are too popular, but those two are the only ones I like.
Isabella we wont use, though I love it.

Jacob and William.
Atticus is too popular?!
I know 3 Atticus' in my town that were all born in the last 2 months, so maybe she mentioned it for an "area"?
For my area, THESE have been ruined for me:
Charlotte, Liam, Ella,Layla.
Dunno about popularity in general, but where I'm from, they've exploded!

Another vote for any variation on Isobel... my all-time favorite girl name that is far too popular to use now.

Ava
And maybe Evan for a boy.
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

I second Amelia. Also Harper and Mia.
