I'd really like to learn how to sew, and sew well. It's the one thing I've never been able to get the hang of, and I'd like to add some sewing elements to my stationery line.
I bought a couple of books but they are so friggin' huge and I have not been very motivated by them. Sewing classes are offered, but they're on weekday nights, in the city, which is about 40 minutes away. Would you do something like this that would take 2-3 hours a night (with travel), 3 nights a week for 2 weeks? Would it add too much stress to your life, to worry about the kids/H and dinner/bedtime/etc?
Re: Would you do this?
I would try You tube first. I taught myself to knit just by watching videos online. And I'm using a few books and videos to hone my sewing skills.
Granted, the class could be nice time to yourself, but I would probably spend most of it stressing about what I could be doing. LOL
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
