Hi ladies,

I am trying to figure out if I need a newborn/infant insert for the carseat. It looks like there is a headrest that comes with it, but do I need an additional insert like this one?:

I had one on my 1st son's car seat when I went to have it installed at the Fire Department and they told me the car seat company would not quarantee the safety of their product if you were in an accident. They suggested to not use one, but rather roll up a towel or receiving blanket and place it around the infants head for support.

 

My SIL had the Aura and if I remember correctly, it's a bit more narrow than the Graco too, which helps a little when they are smaller.

Like pp said, that is what the fire department said to me. The Aura comes with a small headrest/support, which they said was fine, just don't add anything to it. I am hoping this works out ok.
