I saw in the update post that your pedi is concerned because your little guy isn't crawling yet. Don't let them freak you out! My older DS didn't start crawling till he was 9 months old, and the younger one didn't start till he was 11 months and some change. It's all normal! Don't worry.
Re: ** seghibs **
Thank you so much for writing and telling me this. I was in tears on the phone with my mom last night. She said that she **thinks** the drs just have to protect themselves so anything even slightly "off" is flagged.
I am trying so hard to not worry, and every person that says they were in a similar boat helps me more and more! This first time mom stuff is HARD!

My niece didn't crawl until she was 10.5 months old and she is now a brilliant 10 year old who is playing up in soccer because of how good she is.

I'm surprised your pedi was freaking you out like that. Crawling isn't even considered a developmental milestone anymore, as many kids skip it and go straight to walking. Maybe he'll crawl and maybe he won't, but I don't think she should be worrying you about it at this point. As mothers we already have way too much to worry about as it is!
ETA: I just saw your baby is only 8 months old. Mine didn't crawl until 8.5 months. He showed no interest so I seriously thought he'd never do it and then one day he just took off. He walked at 10 months. WAY to early to be freaking out.
