If you are sick and feel you need medication, call your doctor.  I don't think antibiotics are going to help a cold or cough, but if you do have some kind of infection, your doctor will prescribe whatever s/he feels is safe for you during pregnancy.

This.  It's NEVER safe to take a prescription medicine without being seen by a doctor and actually having it prescribed for you, especially an antibiotic - overuse of antibiotics can lead to antibiotic-resistant strains and more severe infections.

    Yes

There is no reason to take an antibiotic unless you have an infection, I did take the Z pack while pregnant but I had a nasty respiratory infection.  See your doctor.

  • Azithromycin is category B, so it's probably fine but you're better off asking your doctor (to see if it's really necessary, for one thing) than a public message board.

Yeah, see, I'm assuming it's either this or "i have some left over from last time" - both of which are fairly stupid practices, imo.
