I am not feeling that great, got a pretty bad cold and chest cough, is it safe to take a Z pack in pgy? Thanks
If you are sick and feel you need medication, call your doctor. I don't think antibiotics are going to help a cold or cough, but if you do have some kind of infection, your doctor will prescribe whatever s/he feels is safe for you during pregnancy.

This. It's NEVER safe to take a prescription medicine without being seen by a doctor and actually having it prescribed for you, especially an antibiotic - overuse of antibiotics can lead to antibiotic-resistant strains and more severe infections.

Both of these!
There is no reason to take an antibiotic unless you have an infection, I did take the Z pack while pregnant but I had a nasty respiratory infection. See your doctor.
Azithromycin is category B, so it's probably fine but you're better off asking your doctor (to see if it's really necessary, for one thing) than a public message board.

I have a friend that stocked up on z packs when she was in Mexico...
Yeah, see, I'm assuming it's either this or "i have some left over from last time" - both of which are fairly stupid practices, imo.
