How many hours of sleep are your K and/or 1st graders getting?

I don't think my girls are getting enough sleep.  I need to adjust the bedtimes, but unfortunately I work in the evenings so DH is doing the bedtimes and I've been suggesting for a few weeks that they need to go down earlier, but he isn't doing it...."Its too hard...we barely have time to get showers and everything else done."  Well, figure it out, because I am the one who is dealing with the crankiness all morning and after school long until DH gets home. 

So, how many hours are your kids getting?

    10 hours. They go to be at 8:30 and get up at 6:30

    10 hours.  Bed by 7:45-8 and up at 6

    10 hours, give or take.  I shoot for lights out by 8:30 - doesn't always happen. Last night it was more like 9:30.

    9- lay down at 8:30, lights out at 9:30, awake at 6:40.

    In bed b/t 8 and 8:30, lights out by 8:30.  He's up around 6:30, so he's getting about 10 hours.  He has been complaining that he's tired though, mostly by Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.  He goes to K full day, which is new for him.  Preschool was 2.5 hours.
    High School English teacher and mom of 2 kids:

    DD, born 9/06/00 -- 12th grade
    DS, born 8/25/04 -- 7th grade

    I think my oldest is an 11 hour girl...and my middle kid is a 10 hour girl, which is making it harder too since they share a room......

    I think if they had 30 minutes of book time my oldest would fall asleep but my middle kid could read the whole time and be fine...

    Hmm..gonna work on this a bit more.

    Currently they are getting about 9 to 9 and a half.  My oldest is impossible to wake up and mornings are rough.  And then my K comes home from school....full day K....EXHAUSTED and is miserable for a good hour or two after school.  So my days start and end with cranky kids.  I hate it.

    Max sleeps from about 8:30 to 7:30, so 11 hours a night.  I start the bedtime routine at 7:30 so that we have plenty of time to wind down, read books, etc. without it getting to late.  I leave his room by 8:15.

    12.5 is what they spend in bed 6:30pm-7am, but that doesn't mean they sleep that long, but it's usually 11-12 hours.

    She needs at least 10 hours!
    Alyssa born 6/14/05 at 8 lbs 2oz - Ashley born 3/27/10 at 6 lbs 13oz
    We had 2 years of IF trying to conceive #2 and one loss during that time. We are currently trying for #3! had another loss the end of June

    Around 10.  She goes to be around 8pm (doesn't always fall right asleep) and wakes around 6-6:30am.

    He is usually asleep by 8:30 pm and wakes up at around 6:30, so about 10 hours.

    DD falls asleep between 8:30 and 9 and wakes up around 7... some mornings I have to get her up, some mornings she wakes up on her own.

    about 11-12 hours.  Kaitlyn goes to bed at 7 and we get her up at 7.

    She's in bed around 7:30 and up around 6:30. We need to start getting up at 6, but the bed is so comfy!

    My kids go to bed at 8 and get up around 7:30. You guys have a lot of early risers! Thank god for late start schools!

    L goes down around 8pm and is up around 7.  So 11 hours usually.

    My daughter is in 1st grade. She is in bed between 8:30 and 9 and is up at 7:15.

    Reading the replies makes me so envious of how much sleep these kids get! I want to sleep for 10 hours a night! :)

    He gets about 8-10 hours of sleep nightly.
