Curly haired girls

FYI--I am in LOVE with this new product.  I got it at Sephora as a starter kit for $25.  I get the great curls (which have sucked since having DS) w/out the crunch gel-y mess from normal gels. I haven't even tried the shampoo or conditioner yet, but I love the gel and humidity spray.  I've seen qvc (or maybe hsn) and "as seen on tv" promo it too.

Re: Curly haired girls

  • Oh thanks!  I am always looking for a good curl product becaue I hate crunchy hair.  I go back and forth from straight to curly depending on my mood I suppose :0)

  • I usually use mousse b/c gel is too crunchy, but I have a hard time finding a good mousse that holds all day.  I'm with you, Cooley - I straighten my hair a lot (though 99% of the time I don't do anything but put it in a ponytail).

  • I will have to forward this to my sister.  She has very curly, super thick hair and has problems finding things that work well.
  • I usually straighten my too, but that was b/c I couldn't find a good curly product, I don't even have to diffuse it now :)  Talk about wash n' go!

  • That's awesome.  I've been looking for a new product.  I was using Pantene mousse and creme but they got rid of the creme and the mousse alone isn't cutting it.  I can't wait to try it!
  • Thanks for the info, I've been using a Sebastian gel on Ry's hair and it's definitely crunchy. I'll have to try this for both of us!

  • Ooh I better try this! I don't have the time or the patience to straighten my hair anymore. :) Long time ago I used a detangler spray from Jherri Redding that was awesome! I use to LOVE it! I would just spray it on damp hair and let my hair naturally curl. It was awesome and no fly aways! And it made my hair look so shiny and good! By the time I ran out of the product they didn't make it anymore! SadI still look for it in the stores! And I haven't found any product that even comes close to replacing it! Mousse just doesn't work the same!

  • THANK YOU!  I have been searching and searching for something to use on my hair, I hate crunchy.  I really don't like straightening either, it's so bad for my hair.  I needed an excuse to shop at Sephora anyway, so this is great!

  • I don't post much since we're TTC, but I can relate to this one, yay!

Have you ever tried Redken's Fresh Curl product?  Just wondering how it compares :)

No, I haven't but I've used the Be Curly like from Aveda but I like this more than that.
