We got the original graco snugride (22lb limit, straps tighten in the back) on that crazy $35 deal a few months ago (came w/base and the snap n go stroller frame)... .but yesterday we took it out of the box to get the hang of it, and the straps in the back are SUCH a pain!
is it worth it to go ahead and get the newer ones, still the 22lb but the one that tightens in front? my friend has this one and it is SO much easier to get LO in and out of the seat, esp if he's sleeping or if the back of the car seat is very close to the front seat...
i was thinking we could leave this one in DH's car (since we dont take his car too often) and that way have an extra car seat to leave w/the inlaws or something like that? my MIL said she would buy the 2nd carseat as our shower gift if we want it. or is it better to let her buy our britax for later on? she said she would get either one whichever we need more

I didn't really mind the rear adjusting one but that's probably b/c DH always dealt with the adjusting- lol! If someone wants to buy you a new one, I say go for it. We still have our old Snugride 22 even though we also have a new Keyfit 30 that I got on clearance. I plan to let the grandparents use the Graco in their cars. I figure it doesn't hurt to have an extra.
We just discovered that some original graco snugrides have the adjustment in the front and some dont. Here is a link to one of the ones that has the adjustment in the front if your were wanting to stick with an original snugride.........

apparently you are supposed to loosen and tighten the straps each time you take the baby in/out of the seat? thats why i was thinking the front adjust would be easier...
