Safety 1st Monitor is freaking out!

The monitor tonight started making all these bizarre noises.  We're making jokes that aliens are interfering and such but I have a feeling we won't be laughing about this when we're all trying to sleep.  Has anybody else had their monitor start making weird noises and not be broken?

Sorry the sentences don't flow too well, I have a horrible headache tonight.

  • Thanks!  She loves bath time so much.
  • My monitor has been doing that off and on.  When it does, we change channels.

    It helps.

  • Ours does it sometimes we just move the monitor a little and it usually stops.

  • Our Safety 1st Monitor started doing that 2 nights ago...and I barely slept b/c it kept waking me up. I usually have my Iphone next to it....but we noticed our Iphones aren't getting 3G they are using the E network the past couple days and so we think that network affected the monitor (it hasn't done it until the past few days)...so when it started last night I moved my phone farther away and it didn't do it at all last night :).

     Coincidence...maybe but just what I noticed :)

  • Mine does it off and on for various reasons.  For some reason, my pump interferes with the signal.  When I pump in the bedroom, the monitor hums in rhythm with the motor.  It drives me to distraction if I forget to turn it off before I start.
  • The pump hasn't been a problem, that I've noticed, but I have noticed that the phones do mess with it.  I always know when I'm about to get a text or something because the monitor starts to buzz for a minute.  This was a different noise though, it had been doing a squealing gurgle type noise, it would stop every time I touched it.  We hooked it back up to the electric outlet and took out the battery and it hasn't done it since.  Thanks for all the help anyway!
