*I* have a reader!

DD nonchalantly told me she can read a story in a book that used to be DH's as a child. We haven't read in this book in ages.  It's called Do It Yourself Reading.  She opened the first story and read all but 2 words of the 5 page short story by herself!  I was shocked! Yay Hailey!!!

I keep overhearing my daughter reading... I walked up and looked over to see she read the sentence. she looks up startled and shoos me away.  pooper!  she won't admit to it yet?  and today it was a book we haven't read much (maybe twice in 4 months?).  what the gin and tonic, kid?  I cannot wait for her to read to me!  That's so awesome!
