Toddlers: 24 Months+

It took us 3 days to wean off the pacifier!

He is the type to sleep with a pacifier in his hand and one in his mouth, all night long. He never spits one out. It took 3 days and we are done with them completely. We were dreading this say but cannot believe he did so well with it. yay! on to Potty training next month.

  • thats great! !!

we did ours cold turkey, and he honestly never missed it unless he saw one lying around.

It was more training myself and dh to not give it to him to quiet him down or get him to relax.

We snipped the tip of it and gave it to him at naps and bedtime only. We never really took it from him before. By day 3 we didnt give it to him and he was just fine. We told him he was a big boy and the pacis were broken. He said "brokey, daddy worky." He wanted us to fix them for him. He was honestly fine. We prepared ourselves for lots of tears. he didnt have a word for the paci so he doesnt ask for it. It took him 15 minutes to settle down at nap and bed but as soon as he relaxed he was asleep. Day 4 and no crying, fussing or tossing at nap or bed and he has slept the exact amount of time he usually does. No problems.
