Confused about BGs...

Maybe I'm just missing something. I want to try a BG, but can't tell if I can use my prefolds that I have or need to order a bunch of inserts like the one it comes with... Thanks!

They come with inserts.  You only need one insert per diaper since you have to change the whole thing each time. Unless you are talking about the Flips...

BG pockets?  Or are you talking about Flips?

BG pocket diapers (3.0s, 4.0s) need inserts that are made for pockets. Prefolds wouldn't fit inside a pocket.

If you're using Flip covers, I believe you could use prefolds inside them (I don't have any myself so don't quote me).

I was looking at BG 4.0. I guess I misunderstood and thought it was a cover like Thirsties. I ordered one to try, so we'll see. I've been using prefolds in Thirsties so far.

You can actually trifold the prefold and use it to stuff the pocket, but it comes with two inserts so unless you need the extra absorbancy you really wouldn't have to.

Once the pocket is stuffed with the insert you put it on and go, no cover needed.  They're great!
