Evalie or Eden?

What do you think of Evalie? We just love the nn Evie, but hate Evangeline and Evelyn, so we found this name in a baby name book under Eva, as a variation and I think we both love it!

It's pronounced w a soft, as in Evan. Pretty much like Evelyn, onyl with a "lee" at the end.

Eden is another choice (dh really likes it), but I prefer more feminine, flowy sounding names.

I've not heard of Evalie before, but it sounds pretty and feminine. I like it.  Eden is not my style personally.

I prefer Eden. For me, Evalie sounds like the new name, Everly, but missing a letter.

I would choose Eden over Evalie. I went to HS with a girl named Evalise, nn Evie.

Ditto, prefer Eden. Evalie sounds like Everly prn with a northern accent. Everly is alright though, but still prefer Eden - it's very pretty and underused.

I like the way Evalie sounds, but seeing it spelled out makes it look made up. Is there a most common spelling?

I think I prefer Eden of your two choices. There's one way to spell it and everyone knows how. There's one way to pronounce it, and everyone knows how. It's just as lovely and feminine, IMO.

Evalie sounds made up, so I vote for Eden...though I don't really care for Eden either.

EDEN is much better than Evalie!

I really like Eden.  I think it sounds just as feminine as Evalie and there won't be any confusion over pronunciation or spelling with Eden.

I've never liked Eden and I actually really like Evalie, despite it's young age and lack of history.

Of the two I'd chose Evalie.  It does sound made up and is a bit oddly spelled, but it's also fairly pretty.  Eden, on the other hand, makes me think she's destined for the world's oldest profession.

Evalie makes me think Evil (or Evilly), sorry. I really like Eden though.
