I'm looking at this Easel for DS's Birthday. Wondering if these are nice or if it's worth it to spend the extra $ on the Melissa & Doug one. Thanks!

we have this. got it real cheap at at yard sale. right now its inthe basement because DS didn;t use it all that often. I think because he's shorter and a table was easier for him, but when we first got it he used it alot. We'll take it out again in a few months.

I don't know how much the Step2 easel is, but I got a great deal on the M&D easel last week on Amazon for $39! I'm posting from my phone so I can't easily search to see if it's still on sale, but you might want to check it out.

DD has it and plays with it quite a bit.  She loves playing with the magnetc letters.  We got it on sale on amazon, actually paid more in shipping than for the actual easel!!
