for those who used OPK's to get a BFP

OK so this is gonna sound like a newbie question but i am curious everyones approach - for those of you who use Ovulation Predictors, when you get a positive- do u wait a day to have sex or do you have sex right away? i am not sure if it is best to wait for 24 hours or get started right away, after over a year and half of training i am trying to re-examine my approach make sure i am not missing something- PLEASE try not to burn me lol thanks!

That day and two days after.  Hopefully I would have done it the day before also....but it doesnt always work out.

I used OPKs for 3 cycles and I got my BFP on the 3rd cycle. We always had sex on the day of the positive and for like 3 days straight after. I started anticipating my + OPKs too (noticed they were always on the same CD) and then we would have sex 1 day prior as well.

We had sex twice a day, starting the day of the +OPK and for two days after (3 days total)

I've only used OPK's for 2 cycles. The first month, we only had sex day of the +OPK because I was leaving for a trip the next day and got a BFN that cycle. This past cycle, had sex night of +OPK and the following night and that was it and received a BFP.

The night I got the positive ovulation test, and every day after until I had a confirmed thermal shift on my chart.  I also usually had 4 or more positives in a row too.

I used OPKs for three cycles.  The cycle I got pregnant I had sex the day before and the day of my positive OPK.  I had been charting and and had a fade in pattern so I could kinda figure out when I was close.  FWIW I only had positive OPKs for 12 hours and had a thermal shift the day after which meant I had ovulated.  GL!

We had sex right away and the next morning as well. GL! Oh, and I used the ClearBlue OPK.

We did every other day up until the positive OPK. Having no idea that I would have two days of positives, we did it both days, and then the two days after for good measure. The day after and day of are the best timing, since ovulation generally happens about 12-36 hours after the surge.

I used the clear blue digital since it was so easy to read. I have been tracking my cycle since June with an app for the iphone. It also gives me the week where I am most fertile and when I should be expecting to ovulate. Once that week came up my hub and i were going every other night. It worked out so that I got a smiley face for ovulation on Thursday and we had done it the previous night. So we went wednesday, thursday, and friday. Saturday there was no smiley face anymore so I knew the moment had passed. One time was all it took using that and now we're having a baby in June!

I used first response OPKs. I only used the 7 day kit, but they do make the 20 day kit if you have no idea when you ovulate! But, I used that, got a positive, and then the next day it was even more positive. We had sex the first day I got the positive, skipped a day, and then had sex again. I didnt want to put too much pressure on my husband. Besides, it was my first month off of the pill, and I bought them just to see if i was ovulating, then I figured I would use the information and try! haha.. But, the first response worked like a charm, because 2 weeks later I got a positive hpt! Good luck!
