DS fell in the shower last night

And I feel bad.  I haven't taken a shower with him since he was little (like 5-6 months old).  I always held him in the shower to bathe him back then..but since he got too heavy I switched to baths only.  Well last night we got home from a trip (out of town wedding) and I really wanted to rinse off and wash my face so I jumped in the shower and of course he wanted in with me.  So I stripped him down and put him in the tub while I showered.  I bathed him first and he was playing with a couple toys (standing up) while I washed my face.  Next thing I know he slipped and fell on his bottom then hit his head on the tub.  He didn't cry - I picked him up immediately ...he was scared so started wimpering.   He's totally fine but I still feel bad.

No more showers with mommy for him!  He only fell b/c he stepped off the bath mat and it was slippery....but I still feel like I shouldn't have let him get in with me in the first place.

That's always scary. Our daughter fell this weekend as well. She is stubborn and wants to stand all the time. I tell her to sit and sit her down but right as she stood she took one step and slipped. Poor girl was not happy but she was ok. Even when you are careful accidents happen. I'm sorry.

I could have written this post.  I never take showers with DS but did the other day and he slipped.  I was freaked out so it scared him.  Glad your LO is okay!

It could have happened any time! Don't feel guilty.

DD fell one time in the tub, and actually chipped a tooth she fell so hard. She bit her lip, there was a lot of blood. It looked terrible!! But, wasn't as bad as I feared! And I was right there with her, it just happens so quick!

I will say, after that fall, she is much more cautious in the tub.

This is why I'm scared to let her out of her duck tub and into the big girl bath!!  I wouldn't beat yourself up about it, it was an accident and it could have happened to anyone!  Glad to hear he is ok though!
