Do you remember when it went away and did anything help w/ it? my friend is suggesting a switch to soy formula, that would be his 4th formula. Many TIA!
Our miracle IVF baby - D 6/09 & J - Surprise! born 9/10!!!
We went Dairy Free and DD was better within a week and great by 2 or 3 weeks later. We were BFing and supplementing so I went Dairy Free and we used Alimentum to supplement
My DS was diagnosed with a host of things after he was 2 weeks old. That is when the unconsolable crying started. I was FF ( breast feeding failed for me and we tried 5 different formulas and ended up on Alimentum. That helped but certainly did not CURE the colic. He was diagnosed with reflux at 8 weeks and went on zantac and ultimatley Prevacid. That helped even more. BUT he was still colkcy until he was 4.5 months old.
The only thing that helped my DS was to get him in the car and drive. He was born in Chicago in December so we cruised Lake Shore Drive many nights at 11PM or midnight for an hour so he would sleep. He hated the bouncy chair, swing...everything. It was very very very hard but we got through it.

S had colic and did not grow out of it until 6 months. We BF and I did a dairy free diet, tried different reflux meds (he did not have reflux but we tried just in case) etc. Nothing worked for us except time.
It was a very tough time for us, but we made it. Sawyer is now such a delightful, silly, laid back child, you would never know he would scream for hours on end.
Re: if your LO was diagnosed w/ colic
We never really found anything that helped B's colic. It went away right around 4 months, just as his teething started!
My cousin suggested putting his bouncy chair on top of the dryer and letting the vibration soothe him. It worked for her little girl.
I agree with going to a chiropractor for colic. My chiro adjusted DD when she was a week old. She didn't have colic, but we had her adjusted anyway.
