Dh and I were making plans for our home this past weekend (ie, what to do in the 3rd bedroom). We don't want to spend $ on something to have to get rid of it in a couple of yrs when baby 3 comes along... so we started discussing "when" should baby 3 come along...
conclusion - we'll analyze the situation when twins are 1! Yup, we are nuts. Granted, we may say "screw that, we'll wait another yr" but for right now, when they are 1 we'll see how it went, how we are financially, and career-wise. If all a-ok, we'll be back at doctor's office! : )
Re: I think we are nuts! LOL
LOL you are nuts.. Just kidding.
I wasnt itching before I actually had one (for the next) but when my DD was like 6 months I wanted another one. And I got pregnant with my DS when my DD was almost one.
My gf had spontanous identical triplet boys and they are 2 and she is pregnant with her 4th a girl..
Good luck..

You guys aren't nuts
I am a big time planner too and I like to have major life events mapped out in my head YEARS in advance!!! I will say that some of that has gone away since getting unexpectedly with Emma seeing how well it all worked out despite the fact that it didn't fit into my timeline. I've become a little bit more easy going and "we'll see what happens" since then. But I still totally get wanting to plan these things ahead of time.
If you get pregnant when the twins are one, baby (babies?!) #2 will be about 2 years apart from the twins which I've heard is the ideal age difference for siblings...so I think you're in good shape with that plan
I think your plan sounds fantastic.
I have a friend with twin boys and she now has a baby girl. They are 1.5 years apart. She's already talking about # 4!
