I find huggies to be too stiff and I've also had lots of leakage problems. The swaddlers (by Pampers) were the only thing that worked for us and we tried cloth/hybrid diapers as well. Seventh generation diapers work well too but are more expensive.

I used Pampers until DS was about 8 months old. Now we only use Target brand. They are half price and amazing. I'm not sure how the Newborn and size 1s fit, but I will definitely be trying them out first!
Although I did BF, we supplemented with Target brand formula. It is also half the price and EXACTLY the same as Enfamil.
Different diapers work for different babies. We used everything for the first two and ended up with generic because they worked just as well and were A LOT cheaper!
With DD we use Pampers so we'll stick with Pampers for our little boy. Although I might get some Huggies just to see the difference in them with boys. Who knows, Huggies might be better with boys... ???

Pampers always worked great for us. We never used Huggies until we switched to Pull-Ups.
