Hi everyone! I don't know if you remember me, but I used to be a pretty regular poster around here.  It's been a couple of months though.  I'm happy to see all of the new names, as well as some of the familiar ones.  Have I missed anything super exciting?

 As for us... Well, we finalized DD's adoption in late August.  We had a big party to celebrate, which was fun.  If you are my FB friend, you can see the video/slideshow of our adoption journey on my profile.  I have been laid off since May, and have honestly been enjoying every moment of it.  It has been so much fun to spend time with the kids.  Now i am trying to decide what DD will be for Halloween:  a polar bear maybe?  A flower?  I don't know.  Big brother will likely be Elmo or someone he knows.   Other than that, not much is new.  I hope to find more time to reacquaint myself with you ladies, as this board was such a huge support system when I was going through the process.

I've been in and out for the past 6 months or so...but I remember you and I am SO EXCITED for you, how incredibly awesome it must feel to have finalized DD's adoption!!!

I remember you, we were originally matched at the same time, although our first match fell through, and yours didn't.  But we were matched again, and brought our beautiful DD home in May.

So happy to see everything is going well.  DD starts daycare tomorrow, so it's a sad day, and even though you're laid off, and it may not be forever, enjoy the days you have, they are precious!

Hi Crystal!  I'm so happy things are going well for you!

My husband and I adopted a 7 year-old boy from Peru in July, and we are home and adjusting to this new, crazy life.  So glad to see you around these parts.  Hope you'll get a chance to stick around some!
