DD said please today!!

Little back story- She doesn't talk, we've had her tested, she just had tubes put in not even two weeks ago.

I suspected the frequent ear infections and fluid on her ears was attributing to her not talking and was probably effecting her hearing. 

Since the surgery, she's started to say "ma,ma" which is music to my ears. And today she very clearly said please twice! I cried like a fool! And I blame it on pregnancy hormones, but I'm crying again while writing it.

I am just so thrilled that everything is finally coming together for her!

That's great! You have every right to cry tears of happiness...pregnant or not .

DD knows how to sign, and has been signing please for awhile, but she just knows that it's what gets her basically what ever she wants!!

How can I resist a toddler with manners?

I know, right? Hard not to be a sucker for polite babies. So glad he's learning the right words to say anyway!

That is awesome!! I can attest to the magical power of ear tubes. AJ had his put in at the beginning of the month. He didn't speak much before--he had moderate to severe hearing loss. Now, only four weeks later, he had nearly FORTY words and gets new ones everyday! It is amazing. Ear tubes rock.
