TTC after removing mirena

Anyone trying after taking out an IUD? I had mine taken out 45 days ago...bled like crazy 3 days after it was removed, which I assumed was my period (but have since read that it was just bleeding as a result of the removal/hormone change), and haven't had a period since (i didn't have my period the entire time I was on it). The last couple of weeks I've had crazy pregnancy symptoms (nausea, big sore boobs, exhausted etc) and I keep getting BFNs. I googled it and it seems that this has happened to others and that my body is just adjusting to the removal of the hormones in the IUD. I've also read that it can take up to 6 months for your body to get back to normal. Im so frustrated because my doctor told me that unlike BC pills you can get preggers rights after your IUD is taken out, so we waited until we were ready to try again...anyone else going through this?

I've never had an IUD, but since you can get pregnant while on BCP I think the idea that you can't get pregnant right after getting OFF BCPs is totally false. 

It can your body 6+ months (for some a year or more) toe regulate after coming off hormonal BC.  If you hit 60 days with no AF then call your DR.

Ok, I know you CAN get pregnant after stopping bc pills (and while on them), it just USUALLY takes your body a while to get back to "normal" where as I was told your body wouldn't need that "adjustment" phase while on the IUD because you're still ovulating when you have an IUD.

I had the Mirena IUD removed in middle of August, just started my first period today since it has been removed, I didn't have periods whil I had it in either.  I did have an IUD in before this past one (not the Mirena) and it was about 2 months later that I got pregnant with my DD, who is now 3.

I know this is probably nieve of me to say but I blame my TTC nightmare on Mirena. Long story short: I had the Mirena in for 2+ years, this past january I started with some freaky symptoms (increasingly irregular periods, bleeding heavily after orgram, and lower abdominal pain). I went to the ER one night when the other nurses at work MADE me go. Turns out I was pregnant (elevated HCG confirmed with blood work) But at the same time I had what I thought was my period, so after multiple ultrasounds and serial blood work they decided I had gotten pregnant on Mirena and miscarried. Since it was not effective for me and risk of ectopic pregnancy was so high we decided to have it taken out. It took me nearly 2 months to get my period, then I got it again less than a month later but only for 1 1/2 days. This totally messed with my head making me think i was pregnant...So yes I have gone through it and it takes a few months for your cycles to become regular. In April is when we officially decided to TTC. Since then we have been unsuccessful. This is only my 2nd month charting so I am trying to figure out what is really going on inside (am I even ovulating?) So...you aren't along sweetheart! GL!
