So my dog puked up DD's pacifier

yesterday I caught him eating a part of her pacifier and couldn't find the rest.. he left the nipple and ate all the plastic!

This morning I was holding DD and he was by the door heaving.. and puked up some of the plastic parts of the paci.. ugh.. stupid dog!!

Sounds like something my dogs would do!  One of them likes to put them in her mouth and "hide" them all over the house like they are treats or something!  So weird.

I know I shouldn't be laughing but I am.  That's exactly what my old dog would have done.  Your title is priceless.

According to our vet, pacifiers are a favorite item with dogs, and often cause intestinal blockages because of their size and shape.  So be extra diligent about keeping track of them!  Our vet told us it is one of the most common items requiring surgery to remove...  I try to keep them on a clip, so that it is always attached to baby and I'm less likely to leave somewhere.  Also, if dog grabs it somehow then, it will be more noticeable.

I had to laugh! Our first binky loss was due to a dog. LO spit it out and it hit the floor.  Before we could grab it one of our yorkies snatched it up and ran out the dog door holding in their mouth by the nipple. Another binky went missing a few days later and we were never really sure where it went...I chased my dog outside a few days later when they snatched a sock from the table and found a stash of items: two socks, a pair of undies (how embarassing) and the missing binky...

Crazy! I just watched that show My Dog Ate What? They had a bulldog that needed surgery for that. They found 27 soothie pacifiers in his stomach!!

How do you not notice that you have gone through 27 pacifiers? We may not be able to round up all of ours at once but I think/hope I would notice if we were buying new ones every week.

Didnt that dog win an award? Cos I remember some show that had three different dogs and it was the weirdest things that those dogs had eaten, and how many things. But I thought the bulldog won like the award for most pacifiers ate. Something like that, the memory exactly escapes me. So far, out of our two boxers and one chow/newfoundland, no one has eaten a paci... However, our boxer puppy LOVES to sleep in Annabelle's bouncer. So ridiculous. haha
