The post below about self soothing got me wondering about what books you guys found most helpful. I have the Complete Book of Breastfeeding, but what other books did you guys think were really informative and helpful? Thanks!
Definitely Happiest Baby on the Block by Harvey Karp. We also saw a bit of a video from him in one of our classes at the hospital. That's what prompted us to get the book. I think it was very helpful reading it beforehand and we also referred to it after Caroline was here.
In addition to the 2 I mentioned in the soothing post (No Cry Sleep Solution & Happiest Baby On The Block) I have What To Expect The First Year, which I reference in the same way that I did with WTEWE. I read up through 3 months while pregnant and then I re-read at the start of the new months. I also have some Dr. Spock childcare guide that I got from my insurance. I pretty much skimmed it for info that I would need and will again use it as a reference guide.
I will say that Happiest Baby On The Block was great for getting through the beginning. I easily remembered the techniques that he gives and they work!
