Blood Pressure Confession

I have no idea what the numbers mean and don't make an effort to remember what the nurse says when I go in since she usually follows up with " blah blah over blah blah and that's good".  This time as usual I wasn't paying attention to the numbers she said but she didn't follow it up with a "that's good" so maybe I should learn what they mean. 

I am capable of google but does anyone have a quick trick for knowing if your numbers are good.

120/80 is considered normal; a little more or less isn't too worrysome.

If you had "high" blood pressure would both of the numbers be higher?
