    I was sad when I heard that.  I really liked him too!  Those Comedy Central roasts will never be as good...

    a couple of years ago dh and I saw him at a comedy club.  we didn;t even know who he was at the time but it was the FUNNIEST stand up show we ever saw.  Oddly enough, we hardly ever go to comedy clubs but we also  saw Robert Schimmel's stand up show last year (not planned, just walked up to the ticket office at the place and he happened to be the comedien that night) and he recently passed too....so sad:(
