unfortunately, we weren't able to see a heartbeat.  She wasn't too worried because she said that it is too early.  She actually wasn't even going to give me an ultrasound at all but she had time between appts.  I was disappointed not to see anything and then curious how other girls were able to see a sac and hear a heartbeat at 6 weeks?!?  Because my cycles were never normal, we don't know if I am 5 or 6 weeks.

I had my first internal ultrasound at 5w6d and we could only see a sac and a "flicker"/smudge. I was disappointed too, but again, she said it was very early and not to worry. 

You will likely get a lot of responses of people hearing hb's at 5w+, but don't get discouraged.

yes, she did an internal but didn't see anything.  she thought it was totally normal and wasn't worried at all.  she just scheduled me to come back in a few weeks.  of course, it makes me nervous!

we did not HEAR a h/b util 7weeks.  but we SAW a h/b at 6w2d.  she said that was very early to see one.  you are likely earlier on that what you might think.

Thanks, ladies.  I'm trying my best to relax.  The doctor told me that they don't even do an ultrasound until about 9 weeks.  She is thinking that I could be less than 6 weeks since she didn't hear, feel, or see anything.  I'll be praying hard until the next appt.
