IKEA leksvik crib owners
MH lowered DD's crib last night and now it seems like there are huge gaps between the mattress and the slats on all sides. did anyone else notice this? do you usually have to get new mattresses when you lower the crib and/or convert to a toddler bed (we haven't done that yet, just wondering).

funny you ask - b/c after we lowered the mattress it did seem to have more space between mattress and slats.... when it was higher it was VERY snug. Strange.
it's not big enough to bother me, though.
standard mattresses do come in different sizes (standard does not = the same size with every mattress unfortunately) so you might have a mattress a little smaller than mine. I had to buy a couple to get the right fit... but it does have a little more space now that they are down.
