i think DS may have just smoothly and happily accepted the transition from bed sharing to crib... we started last night (i've tried every few weeks for the last few months, but it's always ended in tears, and i'm not all about CIO)

so last night was ok- took about 20-30 minutes to get him down, fussed for maybe 3 minutes, slept from 9-1 (hungry), then 1-2 (diaper), 2-4 (hungry) and came to bed with us from 4-6. i still slept poorly, mostly because i was missing him and listening for every little movement.

tonight he napped from 7-8, i changed him into pjs, nursed for 10 minutes and he's asleep in the crib.  no fussing, no wiggling.  here's hoping for a good night's sleep!
