NBR: Blood work question

in Parenting after a Loss

I have routine bloodwork in the morning for my annual physical (cholesterol, thyroid, etc.)  I forget the rules on eating/drinking.  How long do you have to fast for?  Can you still drink?  I am getting it done at 7 am tomorrow.  Thanks!
