So my husband's practice finally moved in to their brand new offices and I wanted to surprise his with office stuff. I am having all of his diplomas framed and wanted to get him a name plate for his desk. I can't find examples online so I need opinions. He is a gastroenterologist. Should it read:
His Name Here, M. D. (only 1 line)
His Name Here (1st line) / Doctor of Gastroenterology (2nd line)
His name Here, M. D. (1st line) / Gastroenterologist (2nd line)
Or any other suggestions you have. I don't know why this is so hard for me. TIA!

This one! He worked hard for the M.D. behind his name and I think his specialty is important to add too!

I like the first one. I don't think I have ever been in a doctor's office where his name plate said what kind of doctor he is, I think people know going in what kind of doctor they are seeing, IMO.
I like the idea though, your DH is going to be so surprised!
Lol. Well, I see many different opinions so I'm going to guess any of them are acceptable. It would probably make more sense to just ask him what he would like, but I never get to surprise him. He has worked so hard and this is his first real office so I want to go all out.
Thanks so much for the advice. I'll probably wait a little bit and see if any more opinions come in and get a consensus. I'm so excited.

Baby #2 on the way!
