to test or not to test?

So... as a f/u to my post below (thank you for all your responses)....

WWYD in my case?  I'll be 10dpo tomorrow... I'm really not in the mood for another BFN, but I am going to my OB/gyn... so seems like it would be worth the risk if in fact I am KU.

Haha... I don't know... they don't where I've been going, but it's more a PCP office.

I'm pretty sure mine usually tests when you give the urine sample. Maybe I'm wrong.

Gotcha. Well...think of it this way. Would you rather see a BFP in your own bathroom OR have the doctor/nurse tell you? Hmmpf.

Even if it isn't routine, I think you can ask them to give you a test and it shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah if you tell them that you are trying to conceive and you are X amount of DPOs and may be PG they will do a test for you. All you have to do is ask. But Im WAY too impatient and your temps look great and your timing was good. So Id say go ahead, but BFN's dont seem to bother me as much as temp drops.GL GIRL!!! Let me know what happens!

Hehe... BFN's didn't used to bother me so much, but I'm thinking if I keep telling myself it's REALLY early and not to worry if it's a BFN... then it might be worth it. 

And I think this is thet best timing we've had yet!  I'm pretty sure I O'd really late on CD12   I'll keep you posted... though I probably won't post either way until after my appointment.

I agree. If you tell them what's up they will most likely test you.

I agree. If you tell them what's up they will most likely test you.

My only problem with havin THEM test me is that my appointment is at 8:20am... I'm basically going to get up, pee, get dressed and leave.  Which pretty much means there isn't going to be much for them to work with...and certainly not concentrated enough.  If I got a BFP tomorrow, I think I would ask for a blood test rather than urine.

I'll just throw this out there - a couple of years ago I was charged $30 for a pregnancy test at a dr. appt - apparently my insurance didn't cover it. It was just a cheapie test too. I could have brought my own from home and saved myself $29!
