DH and I are having trouble thinking of a boy's name. I like the idea of using a Scottish/English/Welsh/ or Irish name because that's the origin of DS1's name. We came across Lennox, but I can't decide if I like it or not. It sounds kind of like a rock and roll name or something. Does anyone know any Lennox's? What do you think?
Re: What do you think of the name Lennox?
I think of Lennox Lewis.... the boxer. Or Annie Lennox.
I've never been a fan of names with "x" in them, but DH LOVES Maddox, so I'm starting to come around :-) Lennox is nice.

I have a friend that named his DD Eden Lennox. He is Irish and Lennox is a family name.
I think there is a professional boxer whose name is Lennox Lewis.
I kind of like it.

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
It is not bad, but I agree with pp, it does sound like he needs to be in a band.
My grandfather's name is Lennon, which I love! I've been banned from using it by DH though because our family is piling up with Lennons. My cousin actually just named her baby girl Lennon, which I was unsure about at first, but is starting go grow on me.
I was joking earlier about Puddle becoming more popular, since it is the name of a new character on the new show "Running Wilde".
But I seriously do think that Lennox is on it's way up, because it is the name of a similar character on the new show "Melissa & Joey".
The difference between the two is that "Melissa & Joey" is a family show on a family network (ABC Family), whereas "Running Wilde is geared toward a very specific adult audience with a very specific brand of humor. And no offense, but Lennox is exactly the kind of name that appeals to younger viewers. It sounds cool, and even has that trendy X in there for good measure. For these reasons, I have a feeling that in a few years this name will be considered a "teen mom name". I would avoid it at all costs, but that's just me.
Believe it or not, this is the third time in as many weeks that this name has been brought up on this board.
I was going to say exactly this! As soon as I saw Lennox I thought of 'Melissa and Joey' and I agree with everything you said about it appealing to a younger audience.
