TMI: Mucus plug & stool ?

On Friday at my 37 week appointment, I was only 2 cm dilated and 0 on effacement.  On Sunday morning, I started to lose my mucus plug.  There was no blood or anything... just kind of snotty looking.  Since then, I've been getting traces of mucus everytime I go to the bathroom.  Also since Sunday, I've had really loose bowel movements.  This never happened when I was pregnant with my first child.  Is this an indicator of going into labor soon?  Anyone else with these symptoms at 37-38 weeks?

I'm right there with you (just a tad further along, is all and at my appt. a week ago I was 3cm. We will see if I made any progress tomorrow!)

Only thing added to these symptoms is nausea now. (No fun!)

All that is normal after 37 weeks...it's still a "hurry up and wait" kinda thing though...labor could start tomorrow or in 4 weeks...GL.

I wouldn't know from personal experience, but I have heard from lots of friends, plus my mom, that loose stools/diarrhea can be a sign of impending labor. I know it isn't a symptom or everyone, but from what I can tell, lots o women do experience that.

I'm also experiencing the diarrhea and lost my MP last week.  I've been having conractions all week and I was still only 1.5cm dilated today though...
