My labour buddy from the last time became one of my really good friends.
Basically, you tell them when you go into labour or when something is going on with baby and they report to the boards! You can talk to them about....anything pretty much!

Someone who you share at least some personal info with (email address? cell phone for text messaging?) who can be a support person leading up to the big day and also update the board when you go into labor.
yeah. someone you are willing to share personal info with so that you can text them or call them when your in labor, or have to go to L&D for anything.
Last time I didn't have one and I went from being on bedrest to not making an update for about a week and everyone was wondering about me.
Its just someone to update the board for you as to your status.

You have your labor buddy's contact info, and let them know when you go into labor and head to the hospital. They get to AW all the details on here for you.
This is why it's generally a good idea NOT to have a labor buddy that is exactly the same # of weeks as you ... you don't want to both be pushing a kid out of your vag at the same time.
