MN for Evangeline?

What mn do you like best with Evangeline?

Re: MN for Evangeline?

  • I know an Evangline Kate. My list includes the dirty hippie vegan, Evangeline Lyric. Evangeline Marie is a safe bet. Because of the long first name, I'd keep the middle name fairly short.

  • Grace, Hope, Rose, like PP said something short because the fn is so long.
Joshua 1:9 - "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

  • I love the name Evangeline but DH isn't as big a fan - afraid it's becoming too popular.  When I was thinking about MNs to go with it I was looking for short as well and came up with:

    Grace
    Claire
    Kate
    Rose

  • I was just lurking and was surprised to see the name Evangeline mentioned! That's in our top 3! I've had a hard time coming up with a middle name to go with it also. It def needs to be short since Evangeline has 4 syllables. So far the only thing I've come up with that I like is Evangeline Joy, but Grace, Kate and Rose work really well too. For some reason I don't really like Claire, even though that was on my list of first names until DH nixed it.

Do you mind if I ask what you might use as a nickname?

We're probably going to use Evie. But the abundance of nns is one of the reasons I like the name so much. There are so many options. We will probably end up waiting until she's born to see what nn we tend to call her by. I posted about this name the other day, and a lot of people said they didn't like Rose with it, which I really like. So I was trying to get some other options, and a lot of people said Rose, lol.
