My DS turns 1 on January 12th. I think our place is too small to hold everyone so I'm trying to figure out a place to hold his party. Including us if everyone attends it will probably be about 18 adults and 13 children ranging in age from 1-8 (most are 2-4). The only place I could think of was the Hands On House but they do parties for kids starting at age 3 only (so I'll probably do that for my middle child who will turn three in April). Any ideas on where to do a one year old party in this area?
Do you live near any of the parks? Guess it depends how soon you'll be having it if it will still be warm enough, but a bunch of my nieces and nephews bday parties have been at park pavilions. It's a little bit of work transporting the food, but fun because there's always a playground nearby for the other kids.
I live near tons of parks and I agree they are great for parties (just went to a 2 year olds party at a park in Millersville last month) but his birthday is January 12th so it will be way too cold for that. Thanks though!
I never realized that there are no indoor places for littles ones in Lancaster! The only place that I could think of is North Museum, but I doubt that that is what you are looking for! Restaurants are going to be your best best, but they don't have play areas! Good luck!

I think you are right... a restaurant may be the best bet. Or just have everyone crowd in here and deal with it. Hmmm...
Thanks for the suggestions! I think the Science Museum would be good for our oldest child in a few years but the kids that will attend would be a bit young to really get anything out of it. LOVE Dutch Wonderland (we have season passes) but it closes at the end of December so it won't be open for his party when we want to have it in January (and it could be a bit cold). I don't think we'd have enough guests to warrant our own show at the theater (although I really want to take the kids there just for fun!).
DH suggested maybe looking into the Clipper Stadium where they make the ice rink in the summer but I am not sure how I'd do skating..
we were just at the Hands on House 1/2 marathon Saturday and it made me think of that as an option...haven't been there since I was little so I can't say what it's like these days but I've heard they do parties!

Oh jeez...just re-read your original post. nevermind!

If you scroll down, I posted this as well for a party place in December. Another idea is the science museum on New Holland.

There is also theater. They may do a show just for you with enough people
