So just got back from my 32 week appt. On my last ultrasound 2 weeks ago my dr. said there was some small dilation of the baby's bowels and kidneys. She said she wasn't too concerned but wanted a follow up u/s at today's appt. After today's u/s she said it's not getting worse but she is concerned enough to send me to the periontoligist. I am so nervous. She told me to try and not freak out and it may mean nothing but she mentioned some rare scenarios like chromosomal issues .. that are definitely freaking me out. I want to cry right now and I can't get into the specialist until next Monday
Re: scared and nervous
There are a couple of people on the December board talking about this as well...they might have some insight for you.

I just went through a similar situation. An ultrasound found a possible blockage in my LO's bowel and they were worried about his size. In the end, the determined that the fluid in his bowels was within normal ranges, as was his growth. We still have to keep an eye on him, but overall, he's going to be ok. I know it's scary and stressful, but try and keep positive. The waiting is gut wrenching though, I was a basket case until everything came out ok.
Good luck! Like I said, try and stay positive. I also refused to google anything, that kept me from getting overly worked up.
I also experienced something similar at my 32 week ultrasound. There was an excess of fluid around the kidneys and possible bowel blockage and they sent me to the perinatal center (where they monitor high risk pregnancies) for follow up ultrasounds. I had one at 33 weeks and another at 36 weeks. By the 36 week ultrasound, the fluids were back to normal and they told me that there is nothing to worry about and I don't need to come back for additional ultrasounds.
It was sort of scary, but my doctor as well as the doctor at the perinatal center told me it was nothing to worry about- they monitor it to be on the safe side, but 99.9% of the time, the issue corrects itself. Mine did just 4 weeks after they told me about the excess fluid. Good luck to you! Hopefully it is nothing to worry about!
UGH! I would be so stressed right now. Can't they get you in earlier? Seriously, you should ask them to put you on call for any cancelled appts.
