Fabric softener

Hi there!  Do any of you use fabric softener with your regular laundry?  I'm afraid if I do use it with normal laundry, residue will remain in the machine and lead to absorbancy issues with my diapers (funny, I don't have any fear that baby poo will stay behind in the wash and coat my other clothes!)

(I just received some fabulous baby hand-me-downs from my sister-in-law and they smell so good and feel so soft, if just got me thinking.  Thank you!)

I use vinegar instead of fabric softener.  It works the same and rinses away cleanly.

I haven't needed it since getting wool dryer balls

Same as both prev posts. I use vinegar in the rinse cycle and wool dryer balls. Eliminates the need for fabric softener altogether. I did use fabric softener as I was finishing up our last bottle. It didn't do anything to our CDs at all.
