My #1 name for our baby boy (Due in December) is Bennett Scott. Our last name begins with a "W" but my husband is still hung up on his initals being "BS", although I tell him his initals will really be BSW. I just really like the name Bennett, and Scott is for my dad (I'm the oldest of 3 girls, so it's time for him to have a namesake). Is this inital thing a legitimate concern?
Re: Is this weird?
Unless he signs things B.S. Williams (or whatever your last name is) it shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure he'll figure out that he should just sign "B. Williams" or "Bennett S. Williams", or if he must just use initials, he should just use "B.W."
If your last name started with an S, I would say Bennett is unacceptable.

I don't think that its a big concern at all. If I would ever see that name I would never even notice. I already have names picked out and I never once thought of the intials.
I think your husband is over-thinking it. Boys don't discuss their names nearly as much as girls, so it seems somewhat unlikely his middle name is going to often be brought up among friends, even when he's very young. I don't see the connection being made easily or often.
Honestly, I don't love the name, sorry (can't get over the double T's, doubled). Can I give you some other ideas?
