Cloth Diapering

What works for you

If you found a cloth diaper that works for you, would you keep trying others or do you just stick with what you have?

Re: What works for you

  • I have tried others because I wanted a particular fabric or based on recommendation even though I have some I like.

I think the variety has served me well.

  • I researched cloth and picked one I thought would work and luckily I ended up loving it (Flips) and then I decided I wanted to try out the BG OS 3.0s and I love those too. We decided to go a little cheaper for the twins and got prefolds and Thirsties duo covers because the Thirsties had such great reviews.

I'd just stick with what works and if you want to venture out just buy one of whatever you want to try out that way if you hate it you aren't out a bunch of money.

  • I like variety, so I'd have a few others on hand, especially since what works for me now may not work for me in a few months.
  • I try others - I have like 15 different types of diapers in my stash.  I pounce on good deals when I see them, and I've been CDing long enough to know that what works now may not work so well in a month or two.  Case in point - we have been through five different overnight diapering systems.  I fully expect to keep having to change it up!

  • I have some that I love and stick with that, but I make my own and love trying new patterns.  As long as I have PUL and suedecloth, I'm happy. :-)

  • DH and I decided on the Fab Fitteds and covers from day 1 when we saw them in the CD store. We've stuck with them, but for night time we've tried BG 3.0s, FuzziBunz, and B4s. We're going with the B4s and wool covers from now on.

The only experimenting we have to do now is the NB phase since we didn't start CDing with DD1 until she was 3mos. I'm thinking we'll go the workhorse prefolds and Thirsties covers route for that.
