My name is Cosmo.. Well Cosmopolitan, I just go by Cosmo.. always hated it, for obvious reasons lol but I duno I dont mind it so much as an adult I just hate having to explain it to everyone every single time I introduce myself. At least its different I suppose.
I HATE my name. Jennifer. Could my parents be more boring? I tease them about this all the time. I usually had at least 5 others in my class.
Hence, my DD's have unusual (but real and not youneek, but unique for sure) names, both are a nod to our Irish heritage. And I dont really care about the 'but they'll have to spell it for everyone' argument, I often have to spell my super common name because of the you-neek versions (gennifer, genifer, jenifer, jenipher etc) and think most people do no matter what their name is.
My 2 girls, both born on a Friday the 13th, are exactly 2 years, 2 months, 2 hours and 2 minutes apart! And Baby Boy joined us October 11, 2013!
My name is Heather. I have always hated it. It is just not very pretty or feminine sounding IMO. It was a popular name, statistically, when I was born, but I never knew any other Heathers until I was in high school. I grew up in a mostly Hispanic neighborhood, and alot of my friends and their parents had a hard time pronouncing it correctly.
My name is Stephanie and I think it's okay. It's long, which is a pain, and I cringe every time someone calls me Steph. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me. On the other hand, it's not all that common, which has been nice.
My name is Lindsay Marie... It's an okay name but I went to school with a bunch of Lindsay's only all different spellings. My name is NEVER spelled right. My middle name is a really common middle name too out of the 200 girls I went to school with I know of 30 girls with that middle name. Although my middle name is a family name. It was my great grandmas name and half the girls on my moms side including my mom have that middle name. My maiden name was also VERY common so I hate having such a common name that everyone had.

Nope. It's entirely to common. I grew up with about 100 other Sarah's. I would rather have an uncommon name, maybe one that wasn't on the top ten list when I was born.
My name is Courtney and I love it! I realize it is a little 80's, but I was actually named after the military Camp Courtney in Okinawa, which is where my parents were stationed when they found out about me.
I also really like that there were never more than two or three in my school, and I never had a class with another Courtney. I'm the only one I know now
My name is Nicole. I've never gone by Nicole, just Nyki. When I was younger my parents spelled my name Niki and my grandma thought they were wrong so she spelled it Nikki so with all of the confusion in the 2nd grade I decided the change the spelling to Nyki to spite all of them. I've loved it ever since.
