I'm about to fire DH...

...from night feeding duty. We use a co-sleeper in the master BR and take turns sleeping in the guest room to get a full night's sleep. DH had a rocky start but lately has been happier in the mornings. Well, I figured out why. He just lays in bed and holds the bottle over DS's face in the co-sleeper. DS drinks until he falls asleep. How did I figure this out? Yesterday morning, DS's pjs and the crib sheet were sopping wet and cold. DH said the bottle leaked. So...no snuggling DS while he has his bottle, no diaper change, and not even a change of clothes when he's soaked. I'm so ticked at DH, I'm tempted to pour water on him while he sleeps to see how he likes a wet bed. Grrrr

    Mine offers to feed DS then lets him wail until his bottle is made. Kind of defeats the purpose of me getting to sleep. DH is bad about taking time to burp darling son so he usually has gas the next day.

    It must be a guy thing! My husband won't hold her to feed her...he lays her on the bed next to him and holds the bottle in her mouth while he watches TV. Usually I don't mind this except at 4am when she's fussy and won't go back to sleep...who does he call to get up and work with her? Yeah. So much for a night off.
