I'm on my 5th UTI of this pregnancy!
I think this one is in my kidneys... my sides ache, but that's about the only symptom I'm having. It makes me nervous, because I know it can trigger labor. I'm on antibiotics, I just hope they work fast. My doctor is thinking she'll keep me on the meds pretty much until our baby gets here since I've had them so often.
Has this been a problem for any of the rest of you ladies?
Re: How I hate you, UTI.
I've only had one this pregnancy at 15 wks but I got them pre pregnancy (including one nasty kidney stone - in which the nurse said is comparable to labor
..lol).
Hope you feel better soon!
I had never in my life had a UTI but I got one at 33 weeks. I ended up going into preterm labor and having to stay in the hospital for 4 days...no fun, so I feel your pain! Take your meds, drink LOTS of water, and rest!!
I have had a few during pregnancy but I had them a lot pre-pregnancy. Just drink lots of water and I started taking the cranberry pills too and that really seemed to help. I have not taken them since I became pregnant simply b/c during 1st tri I was to sick and just never started back. Also, drink cranberry juice (sugar free). Hope you feel better soon.
PP, I LOVE your little ones name, Madden Linkin!
