Help me pick out an outfit for a wedding (leaving in 1.5 hours)

The ceremony is at a Catholic Church, but the reception is late night, on a yacht.  I've never been on a yacht; not sure what is appropriate.  Also, I am between the regular clothes stage and the maternity clothes stage, so no cute cocktail dresses for me.

Here's outfit #1, with cardigan for ceremony, without for reception.  Do you think even with the cardigan, it's too risque for the ceremony?  Also, am I too old to be wearing these sort of outfits?  The window behind me makes everything really dark, but the top is silk, and the top of it is like a double layered pleated thing, so it's not as plain as it looks in the picture.

Safer outfit #2.  Just an empire waist dress I wore in my third trimester during my last pregnancy, but since it's still a little loose, see how BLAH
it looks from the front?  Also, it's made of knit, so I don't know if that's nice enough for a reception on a yacht or not.  Maybe, it's not a big deal.

  • I think the dress is more appropriate (for a church wedding - esp. Catholic), but I think the outfit looks better....so I'm no help!

Have fun, though - sounds like a fun reception!

  • I think they're both cute, but I like the first better.  I don't know you even really need the cardigan, but it depends on the church.  It's totally fine for a catholic ceremony (IMHO).  I'm a wedding photog so I see all kinds of dresses and outfits at weddings.  That one is fine.  I don't think most Catholic churches are too strict about covering your shoulders or showing some cleavage as long as you're not hanging out of it (which it doesn't look like).  Most bridesmaid dresses are strapless these days anyway.

  • I like option #1 because i like the outfit and because you look good in it.

You look nice in option #2 also, but option one fits you better....

  • I think #1 is super cute on you. ?I am Catholic and it would be fine in my church.

  • I think its always best to wear something that fits vs something that is too big or small,  so I like #1.  It also looks nice on you!  maybe add some funky or dramatic jewelry with it (for the reception at least).

I also love the paint color on your bathroom walls!
