Playgroups.....

I'm a first time Mommy and my son is just getting to that age where he likes to interact with other babies and kids   I'm not from Michigan so I don't know many Moms in the area.  I would like to join a playgroup in the Macomb area if anyone knows of one I would be very interested!  My son is 7 months old and we love to do all kinds of activities together   Thanks for any ideas or input!

The Macomb-Clinton Public Library(or any other public library) has storytime once a week for different age groups starting w/infants.  That's a great place to meet other mom's with children the same age.  Also if you search on www.meetup.com there is a really large mom's group for the Macomb area.

Depending on where in Macomb you are, this is a great group of women! We do so many activities for kids during the day (field trips and play groups) as well as evening activities just for moms (book club, mom's night out, etc...). I have met some of my closest friends through this group and I'm so thankful for it! We have an open house coming up the first Monday of October if you're interested.

You can also look into MOMS Club and MOPS. I know there are a few of those in Macomb.

I just had time to look at all your responses lol.  Guess that is part of being a Mom   I did end up joining the storytime at the library which was wonderful!  I would be interested in the Moms group but I missed the open house.  Will there be another one coming up?
