Gushing clear liquid but water's not broken

Ok, I JUST got home from the ER about this. It started yesterday morning when I sneezed and thought I peed a little. Later that night DH and I were at a concert when I felt a wet sensation, almost like my period had started. So I went to the bathroom to make sure it wasn't blood. It was clear liquid mixed with some white so I thought it was that leukorrhea stuff and said that if it got worse I'd call the doctor in the morning. At 4 am I'm woken up because I feel like I had peed myself so I stand up and it starts gushing out of me. My doctor told me at the ER that it wasn't my water breaking and that they had no clue what it was. As soon as I get home to take a nap it starts again. It came out a white liquid then clear and almost like water. The baby was perfectly fine and happy this morning. I'm really scared and need to know if anyone's had the same thing. They feared at first it was a ruptured membrane and that I'd have to decide if I wanted to continue on with the pregnancy. When I was leaving she said it might happen again, but this soon?? Now I'm waiting to hear back from her office on what to do. Has anyone had this, heard of this?? I'm really scared for my baby =(

how much is coming out? They tested the fluid at the ER to make sure it was not amniotic fluid?  They didn't send you to L&D?

I'd be nervous too. I'm so sorry that's happenening to you.

Yeah they sent me straight up to L&D and they said the consistency of the liquid they took wasn't amniotic fluid. They did an ultrasound which showed he had plenty around him too. This morning it was about 2 cups, give or take. A minute ago probably a few tablespoons. I peed before I went this morning and it magically stopped then a minute ago I had to go #2 so I'm scared nothing will happen for a few hours like it did this morning

I'd keep an eye on it, but personally I haven't gotten the infamous snail trail everyone talks about. I have a huge increase in clear watery CM. I feel like I've wet myself all day and sometimes it feels like small gushes when I change positions. Hopefully you're experiencing something similar.

I thought it was that too!! It's puddles but not consistent ones

I don't think I would be happy w/ them just saying the consistency made it no amino fluid.  They didn't do a swab or strip to make sure?  When my water obviously broke they still did a swab.

they should've tested it I'm thinking. If its literally that much that does not sound normal. You do not keep cups of vag fluid hanging around. It has to come from somewhere.

oy. Im not trying to scare you, but i can just imagine how you are feeling.

This happened to me 3 different times.  They had no idea what it was but I was told it was not amniotic fluid.  I was so upset and I still have no idea what it was.  It was clear almost like water.

I wasn't happy that they had no clue what it was. It had to be something because clear liquid doesn't come from nowhere. They did 3 tests to see if it was my water breaking, a UTI test and a wet swab test all came back negative

oy. Im not trying to scare you, but i can just imagine how you are feeling.

It had to be at least 1 cup at the most, there was just so much of it this morning flowing out I had no clue...but it's all over our bedroom carpet lol

Did they check for bacterial vaginosis?  I felt gushes with my last pregancy when I would stand up or change positions.  I thought maybe that's just the way discharge was supposed to be when pregnant.  Finally I asked about it and sure enough it was b.v.  However, there were never amounts as large as cupfuls.

WARNING TMI - I regularly have discharge when not pregnant, now it is out of control.  It will got through underwear and maybe even a bit through sweatpants.  So, super gross, but have you tried smelling it.  Does it have an smell similar to discharge or your regular fluids.
