Intro... soon to be SAHM

My name is Erin.  Just wanted to say hello.  I am mostly a lurker, I inevitably find that someone has already asked the question that I need answered. 

I am hoping to very soon be a SAHM.  I own a small business that we have for sale and we are hoping to reach an agreement with someone very soon. If we can't get it sold by the end of the year, we're just going to close so I can SAH.  So far DS has been coming to work with me every day.  I guess right now he's a stay-at-work-baby.  

We live on an acreage outside a small town with our two dogs, cat and one horse. We feel very lucky that I will be able to SAH and I am looking forward to it immensely!

Congrats and welcome!! I too end up just lurking for the same reason , but everyone here has a lot of great advice to give. I will say that being a SAHM was a really big adjustment for me, but it's getting easier. I hope it all works out for you sellling your business so at least you can make something on it!! Good luck!!

Hi! I'm a new SAHM as of last week when I officially resigned. It either hasnt sunk in yet, or I am just meant to do this because I have all but forgotten life before.  I look forward to hanging with you ladies!

I had to go back to work FT when LO was 2 months old, that sucked. But then I quit when he was 9 months old b/c DH got a better job out of state. It has been a huge adjustment since I've always worked and I like keeping up with my career, learning and making money. I love being with DS but am actually looking for part-time work b/c I think I would be happiest that way, it would be the best of both worlds for me.
