I didn't deliver there, but I've been to Kaiser Walnut Creek and Kaiser Antioch L&Ds many times. I and the people I've worked with have had mostly great experiences at both of them.
I delivered at Kaiser RWC and LOVED it. My DH and I still talk about our nurses. I have heard so many horror stories of people being forced into have birth they didn't and such and they were so willing to let my labor play out. I did end up needing an emergency c-section when the 5th time DS's heartrate dropped and couldn't be brought up (the cord was wrapped multiple times around his neck). Even with that I can say I always felt like they respected my wishes and encouraged a natural labor progression.
Kaiser Walnut Creek, and had amazing births both times! Couldn't have been happier! I LOVED delivering with a nurse midwife. With DD#2, we delivered in the wee hours of the morning so it was literally us, the nurse midwife (right towards the end), and a nurse. It was so intimate, lovely.
With DD#1, got stuck in a double mom & baby room for my whole stay - which sucked. The room was small, when split, and my roommate was terrible. With DD#2, we were in a double m&b room for a couple hours, then moved to a single room for the rest of the overnight stay. Much better!
For dinner the night after I had DD#2, they brought us a dinner - a filet mignon dish and a pasta dish. Two champagne glasses with a bottle of sparkling cider, lovely desserts. It was fabulous!
Kaiser San Jose, just an amazing experience. I worked through 3 shifts of nurses and midwives (and funny enough delivered with the shift I started with).
I delivered both at Kaiser Santa Rosa. With DD, everything went pretty smoothly and it was a great experience. With DS, there were major complications for both of us, but nothing specific to Kaiser or the doctor even. The nursing staff at the hospital is phenomenol, both in L&D and recovery. My only complaint is they don't have all private rooms (although I was lucky with DD that we didn't have to share and with DS I had a c-section so they give private rooms to c-section patients) but that is all changing next month - they are opening a new wing with all private rooms.

Delivered at Kaiser Santa Rosa with rave reviews, less the epidural experience.
I visited Vallejo Kaiser with a false alarm, but my experience was fine.

Great team in L&D.
